Day 1 - Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
After breakfast, you will drive to Lemosho Gate to complete park registration. Begin your trek through the lush rainforest, surrounded by tall trees, birdlife, and the chance to spot monkeys along the way. Arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp for your first night on the mountain.

Day 2 - Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail climbs into moorland with open views. You will cross valleys and ridges as the landscape changes dramatically. Arrive at Shira 1 Camp with views across the Shira Plateau.

Day 3 - Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Today is a shorter and more gradual hike across the Shira Plateau. Enjoy wide-open views and unique vegetation as you continue acclimatizing. Arrive early at Shira 2 Camp, allowing time to rest or take an optional acclimatization walk.

Day 4 - Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (via Lava Tower)
This is an important acclimatization day. You will climb toward Lava Tower, reaching a higher altitude before descending to Barranco Camp. The day offers dramatic scenery and helps your body adjust to the altitude.

Day 5 - Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
Climb the famous Barranco Wall and continue across ridges and valleys toward Barafu Camp. Enjoy stunning views of the mountain as you prepare for the summit push. Arrive in the afternoon, rest, and have an early dinner.

Day 6 - Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then to Mweka Camp
Begin your ascent around midnight toward Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement and enjoy the sunrise from the summit. Afterward, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp.

Day 7 - Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate & Departure
After breakfast, descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate before being transferred back to Moshi.
